Sergey Kobzev

Deputy General Director – Chief Engineer, JSC “Russian Railways”

Born in 1964. After graduating from the Moscow Institute of Railway Engineers (1986), Sergey began working as an assistant driver for an electric locomotive at the Ryazan locomotive depot of the Moscow Railway.
He was appointed the Head of the Moscow-Ryazan branch of the Moscow Railway (1999).
2003-2007 – Head of the Department of Locomotive Economy, JSC “Russian Railways”.
From 2007 – First Deputy General Director, Acting General Director, OJSC “Scientific Research Institute of Railway Transport”.
2009-2011 – Head of the Kuibyshev Railway – a branch of JSC “Russian Railways”.
From 2011 – Head of the Technology Coordination Center, a structural unit of JSC “Russian Railways”.
From 2014 – Technical Director, Transmashholding.
2015-2017 – Head of the Northern Railway – a branch of JSC “Russian Railways”.
In April 2017, he was appointed Senior Vice President of JSC “Russian Railways”.
In November 2017, he was appointed Deputy General Director – Chief Engineer of JSC “Russian Railways”.
