International Railway Congress 2020 – POSTPONED

Dear Congress Participant,
Dear Friend,

IRC2020 is postponed to Autumn 2020! Please note that this postponement is a fully equivalent replacement for the planned event originally scheduled for March 26–27.

Registration to the ICR2020 remains open and all fees for the event will remain in place for the new congress date.

Due to the official decree Nr. of the Austrian Federal Government, we postpone the congress to autumn 2020 and will inform you about place and time shortly.

After carefully evaluating of the current spreading corona virus epidemic, and considering the recent statements issued by the Austrian Federal Government, and the related evolving world-wide restrictions and crisis, the IRC2020 was forced to make this decision. Above all, we have analysed the recommendations from the Austrian health authorities for international events and came together with our partners ÖBB and JSC Russian Railways RZD to the conclusion that postponing the congress is the best way to guarantee the safety for our participants and industry partners at this time. The safety, health and well-being of our delegates and partners will always be the highest priority for the IRC2020.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to our participants and partners for their understanding, continuous support and flexibility. The majority of our partners have already expressed their ongoing commitment and are fully on board for IRC2020 in Autumn 2020.

Please rest assured that in these turbulent and challenging times, the entire IRC team are doing their best to respond to any query at the earliest possible time and to make IRC2020 a spectacular and memorable congress for all.

We are already looking forward to welcoming you to Vienna!

Yours sincerely,

Hubert Jeneral, IRC President and the IRC team
